Technical Overview

LUCOHE Waterjet Cutting Technology at Gleam Equipment

Watch our technical presentation exploring ultra-high pressure waterjet cutting (420 MPa / 60,000 psi), cold cutting advantages over thermal processes, and multi-material versatility without heat-affected zones.

  • Cold cutting with zero heat-affected zone (no HAZ) and no distortion
  • 37 kW (50 HP) intensifier pump reaching up to 420 MPa
  • Cuts steels, titanium, aluminum, stone, glass, and composites across heavy thicknesses (well over 200 mm)
  • Turnkey installation, operator training, and official SAT by Gleam Equipment
Custom sizes available: We supply any bed size and custom configuration beyond standard formats. Contact us with your dimensions.
Multi-Material Versatility

Cold Cutting Capabilities: Metals & Non-Metals

Unlike laser or plasma, abrasive waterjet at 420 MPa cuts any material cold with zero heat-affected zone (Zero HAZ) and no internal stress, cutting heavy thicknesses (well over 200 mm and beyond depending on material).

High-Performance Metals & Alloys

Slag-free, no edge hardening, ready for direct welding or finish machining.

  • Stainless Steel All grades (304, 316, duplex) with pristine edge finish
  • Steels & Alloys Tool steels, carbon, wear-resistant, and hardened alloys
  • Titanium Aerospace and medical grade alloys with zero chemical alteration
  • Aluminum All series and thicknesses without thermal warping
  • Copper & Bronze Highly reflective materials cut without optical reflection limitations
Heavy thickness: +200 mm (and beyond) Zero HAZ (Cold cut)

Non-Metallic Materials & Composites

Complex profiling on fragile or layered substrates without micro-cracking or delamination.

  • Stone & Marble Granite, marble, slate, limestone, and engineered stone
  • Glass Float glass, safety laminated, and multi-layer bullet-resistant
  • Composites Carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and advanced laminates
  • Ceramics Large format porcelain stoneware, technical ceramics
  • Rubber & Foam Industrial gaskets, neoprene, EPDM, and polyurethane foam
Chip-free cutting No micro-cracking

Frequently Asked Questions

What materials can a waterjet cutting machine cut?

Waterjet machines can cut virtually any material: metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium), stone (marble, granite, slate), glass, ceramics, composites (carbon fiber, fiberglass), rubber, foam, and plastics. Maximum cutting thickness is typically 200mm.

What is the difference between waterjet and laser cutting?

Waterjet cutting uses ultra-high pressure water mixed with abrasive garnet, while laser uses a focused light beam. Waterjet has no heat-affected zone, can cut any material, and handles thicker pieces. Laser is faster on thin metals and offers finer detail.

What pressure does a waterjet cutting machine operate at?

Our LUCOHE waterjet machines operate at a working pressure of 360 MPa (50,000 psi) with a maximum pressure of 420 MPa (60,000 psi). This ultra-high pressure enables precise cutting through virtually any material.
